I wanna have a Soul Train themed birthday party – but want it to be as cool and non-lame as possible. Not your typical ’70’s’ themed party… but more of a niche party – with amazing food and music. Any ideas of activities, decoration, invitations… anything that will make it unique and awesome??
cheers!

I am 23, roughly 170lbs, dedicated to physical fitness, and am trying to figure out the best way to go about building a foundation for a career in MMA. I prefer to practice BJJ and/or Muay Thai.
I have researched where the top 20 best gyms are (cross referenced between FIGHT! magazine and Bleacher Report) and have narrowed it down to 4 based on location preference: Nog & Silva MMA (Miami, FL); American Top Team (Coconut Creek, FL); Penn Training and Fitness (Hilo, HI); Team Nogueira MMA (West Palm, FL). Would it be prudent to start at an affiliate in the area to begin training, then move to the higher rep gyms as I become more adept? Or, would it be better build my foundation at a higher rep gym (considering that higher rep gyms cost significantly more for membership)?
I have also considered going abroad. I have worked for UPS for 5 years and can transfer to any hub in the world and have narrowed down to either Thailand (practice Muay Thai) or Brazil (practice BJJ). I would plan to stay in either location and train for a year. Would it be worth studying and practicing the martial art in its originating country? Would it provide me with a competitive advantage that would outweigh financial costs? If so, which gyms/trainers should I seek out?
Training everyday is not an issue and neither is dieting. I have a high tolerance for pain and the drive to boot. Financially I am not made of money, but I am debt free and within my means to make something of myself.
If anyone has any suggestions on which gyms/trainers to pursue outside of what has already been suggested, please feel free to leave a comment. I am simply looking for general guidance on how to best go about pursuing this career. Thanks and much appreciated.

(This is on Pokemon: White 2, by the way.)
I want to take it into competitive battling, but would it be better to have a Sceptile or Grovyle? Grovyle’s my favorite Pokemon, so I don’t really want to evolve it if I can just EV train it to get the same stats as a Sceptile, but I have heard that a Sceptile is just better overall.
So do I need to evolve it? Is it recommended?

It’s no secret America’s dependency on cheap fossil fuel resources, an abundance of other non-renewables, and an enormous agricultural hearth. The economic activities associated with these have made America undisputably the major economic player in the world… in a historical context they’ve spurred on trade surpluses and major industry… nowadays I would argue you see it’s spinoffs with a nation that has the majority of the world’s purchasing power.
What do you think America should do to conserve this? Western agricultural lands will (if they haven’t already) start drying up… underground aquifers are running low, cheap irrigation water is stretching thin. Non-renewable fossil fuels are far past their peack domestically, with world peak supply coming soon…. they will inevitably grow too expensive to have cheap transportation to market, thereby increasing prices for common consumer goods. American industries are moving to other nations to exploit cheap labour to reduce marginal costs… this is obviously hurting secondary industries at home.
This train wreck is coming in one form or another so long as America’s economy continues it’s reliance on this. What would you propose the American peopel do about the following:
1) Industrial dismantling in the US
2) Water shortages threatening agricultural lands
3) Dependence on non-native monoculture crops that ruin ecologies of certain areas.
4) Dependence on non-renewable fossil fuels (the majority coming from foreign supplies).
