Last night our pool light just fell out of the niche. We tried to put it back in but the holes in the niche are corroded. We cannot attach our light to the niche. Our pool 3 1/2 years old in ground pool and was installed by professionals. If the light is not screwed into the niche are we loosing water through the niche. Do we need a wire plug to stop the water from leaking? We are going to contact the company to see what they can do. Our warranty is up but I will see what they can do. We also have a dark brownish/black ring around the niche. Was all this an electrical issue? Any information would be helpful so I know what I am talking about when I call the company. Thank you.

Read the passage, then read each question below the passage. In the answer area number from 1 – 3 and report the letter of the correct answer for each question.
Backyard ponds are for birds, butterflies, frogs, fish, and you and your family. In a pond, plants need to be a mix of emergent, submerging, and floating species. Emergent plants, those that have their roots in the water but their shoots above water, can be added to the edges of pools. These include cattails, arrowhead, and water lilies and are homes to many species of animals. Submerging species, or those that remain under water such as elodea, are often used as oxygenators. These are plants that remove carbon dioxide from the water and add oxygen. These plants are essential in most ponds to keep the water clear. Floating species or those that are not anchored at all in the pond include plants such as duckweed, water lettuce, and water hyacinth. While not as effective as oxygenators, these plants help keep the water clear by limiting the amount of sunlight that algae receive. The algae can not survive without a lot of sunlight.
1. According to this passage, what is the niche of “submerging” plants in a pond?
A. help keep the water clear
B. add oxygen to the water
C. provides food for the fish
D. reduce the amount of algae
2. Consider the relationships between the birds, frogs, fish and plants. What level of organization in ecology is this passage describing?
A. biosphere
B. biome
C. community
D. population
3. What is the main idea of this passage?
A. Emergent plants provide homes to many animals.
B. Oxygenators are essential to life in a pond.
C. Algae can cause water to be contaminated.
D. Plants provide many resources to life in a pond.

Well you have to say “Ecological Niche” >.> Otherwise, people who took their last biology course many MANY years ago won’t know what the carp you’re talking about.
Ducks keep the populations of smaller fish stable, and also serve as food for several land/water based predators such as crocodiles.

Depends on your crayfish.
My pets were Louisiana crawdads. These guys are generalists — omnivorous, able to live in a variety of water quality (by pulling air into the gills when living in low oxygen situations), able to live in a variety of water temperatures and flow rates. They can make short overland trips too.
Some other species of crayfish aren’t as hardy.

Just last week there was a case of a 13-year old boy who had fell off of a boat and wound up stuck under the water under the boat. There were cops just meatres away from rescuing the innocent child yet they did nothing. All those people. The boy was under the boat for 40 minutes, in freezing cold water. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HPpio2TMKfE&feature=youtu.be – the child is now dead. He had drowned along with hypothermia.
”EVERETT, Wash. – Witnesses say 13-year-old Austin Anglin was trapped underneath his family’s boat for about 40 agonizing minutes before Coast Guard crews pulled him out of the water. For at least some of that time boats from several agencies could do little more than sit and watch, frustrating his helpless loved ones.
“I looked over at the game warden’s boat and there were four people standing there in life jackets on the edge of the boat as I was telling them there’s a boy under the boat,” said Tony Edwards. “They did absolutely nothing.” ”

”He was a wonderful young man who never complained.”
I’m actually crying right now as I am typing this message.
If I see anyone wearing glasses, has a skinny build, and looks like a ‘nerd, and acts like one, I immediately fall into depression, my stomach feels sick, I feel like going to bed and sleeping even if it’s mid-day, and it pretty much ruins the rest of the day for me. Whenever I hear of a story, especially if it is a child ‘nerd’ dying, I cannot help but fall into tears. I see all these suicide cases of ‘nerds’ (I mean that in a good way, no offense is intended) such as Eric Mohat, a boy named Jon, and so many others who were bullied so much they killed themselves, innocent-looking intellectuals with loads ahead of them. Or ones that are murdered, such as one case where one was beaten to death, and another strangled to death by the bully’s bear hands. I get nightmares, where I shall picture ‘nerds’ dying in plane crashes, where a blonde nerd is screaming his lungs out, one where there’s an accident involving a trampoline, slipped and whacked his head on the metal lining, dismembering him, his blonde hair painted red with blood and his head hanging by a thread (graphic nightmare which woke me up screaming) and an adult nerd being bullied so much by a gang that he screamed ‘stop it! stop it!’ went home, slit his wrists and hanged himself. Then I get nightmares of all these ‘nerds’, that died in real-life where their dead bodies are lying in pools of blood, their ghosts all rise, and come at me, screaming for me to save them, their eyes crying red tears of blood, before the ghosts disintegrate with blood and I wake up in cold sweat. This is literally ruining my life. I also have quite severe depression (which IS being controlled, by the way). Is there something wrong with me, and could anyone give me any coping advice? This is bothering me so much and I just want these horrid thoughts to leave my mind forever.

Ok my girlfriend had an awkward period that lasted 12 days. That ended on april 30 and we had sex on may 1. Yesterday may 12 she had a stomach ache that didn’t last long. And now today may 13 she sees a little blood affiliated with some cramping. What is up? We also used condoms, and filled it water after use to find there was no tear or hole in them.
